Choosing the right song and reinventing, that was the American Idol 2ND elimination was all about. And in that night it was Amanda Overmyer's turn to go back home. Along with her in the bottom three was Syesha Mercado and Cristy Lee Cook. Cristy looks good that night but that didn't save her for being in the bottom three, in fact Cristy has been always in the bottom three since the start of the elimination maybe it's her looks that earns her most of the text votes that's why she still in the game.
David Archuleta seemed to be the judges favorite at least for that night. He sang "The Long Winding Road" still by the Beatles. After forgetting the lyrics of his song in the first elimination night, David bounced back in the contest and was applauded by the audience and also by the judges. Simon Cowell said that David was able to choose the type of song that suites him.
And as for our very own Ramielle Malubay, things did not turned out to be as good as David. Although she was safe for that night the judges kept on criticizing the way she chooses her song. Paula Abdul said she Ramielle should stick to singing ballad songs because that's her range and that's where she's good at. And as for the terror judge Simon Cowell, he said that Ramielle sound like Chikezie on harmonica, because earlier in that night Chikezie used a Harmonica that earned some quashing from the judge.
Going back to Amanda, she sang "Back in the USSR". Although she showed a nice performance the judges said that doing the same thing over and over again could get the audience bored. The judges are referring to the way she sings like a rock star and running wild in the stage. Maybe that and being less popular to the viewers caused Amanda to be voted out.
Now it's down to just 10. Who will go next? and who will become the next American Idol?
