Dragon Ball, Now on Big Screen
I've heard many rumors before that American movie outfits are planning to put Dragon Ball on the big screen. At first I thought that it was the "Forbidden Kingdom", because that movie was based on the novel "The Monkey King" where the Anime Dragon Ball was also based. Until I found some articles and pictures of the movie adaptation of Dragon Ball on the web.
Dragon Ball was a hit anime series in Asia and in U.S. created by Japanese author Akira Toriyama. It's the story of seven mythical balls that when gathered together will sum-on a magical Dragon named "Shendron" and will grant any wish no matter what it may be.
Justin Chatwin will play the role of Goku, a boy who lived in the wilderness with his Grandfather Son Gohan who trained him. Other characters in the film are Chow-Yun Fat as "Master Rochi" or "Master Kame" in the local dub; Jamie Chung as "Chi-Chi", Goku's childhood friend and soon became his wife; Joon Park as "Yam-cha", Goku's ally and friend; Emmy Rossum as "Bulma", Goku's friend and his partner in gathering the Dragon Balls; and James Masters as "Piccolo", the villain.
I haven't seen any teaser of the film, but one of the story plot I read is that the story will be more of the "Piccolo Saga", Goku needs to gather all the Drago Ball before Piccolo. Of course there will be a slight different from the original anime series, but still It will be as good as the anime.
