"Diva" Premieres Tonight on GMA 7

The first ever Kantaserye in Philippine TV "Diva" starring Regine Velasquez will make it's premiere tonight. It's the story of an aspiring Diva named Sampaguita (Sam) who was blessed with great voice but cursed with a not so beautiful face. Join Sam and her misadventures to fulfill her dreams of becoming a "Diva". Cast of "Diva" also includes Mark Anthony Fernandez, TJ Trinidad, Rufa Mae Quinto, Glaiza de Castro, Jaya, Buboy, Mark Herras, Ynna Asistio, Buboy Garavillio, Randy Santiago and Ms. Gloria Diaz. "Diva" is directed by Dominic Zapata, watch for it only on GMA Telebabad after "The Last Prince".

Diva tells the story of Sam (Regine Velasquez) and her group of friends who want to make it big sa music industry. Martin (TJ Trinidad) is a gifted musician who composes great music, na siya namang nako-compliment ng lyricist na si Gary (Mark Anthony Fernandez) who writes well. Rounding out their merry group is Barbra (Jaya), ang best friend ni Sam who compensates for her lack of musicality by becoming the group's booker/manager.
