Cesar Montano is Now a Kapuso!

Cesar Montano is now a Kapuso. Cesar Montano signed a one-year exclusive contract for GMA-7. The contract signing was held on the 17th floor of the GMA Network Center yesterday July 15, 2010. Cesar Montano's contract signing was witnessed by top GMA-7 Executives Atty. Felipe Gozon (Chairman, President and CEO), Mr. Jimmy Duavit (Executive Vice President and COO), and Ms Wilma Galvante (SVP for Entertainment.

"I really feel glad and happy to be back again here in GMA... It's an honor again to be back and accepted again here in GMA-7, be part of Kapuso. Mahirap pong mabuhay nang walang puso kaya dapat laging may puso," pahayag ng aktor sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at iba pang miyembro ng press pagkatapos ng contract signing.

"If I remember it right, yung unang-unang trabaho ko po rito was with the late brilliant director Ishmael Bernal, Maynila [a drama special]," pagbabalik-tanaw niya. "Doon nagsimula ang trabaho ko, at talagang parte na po ako dito... Isang malaking karangalan at kaligayahan po para sa akin at mase-share ko na naman ulit ang akin pong hiram na talent sa inyo, dito sa GMA."

Cesar Montano's transfer to the Kapuso Network is considered a homecoming, because Cesar Montano did movies with GMA Films before he worked with ABS-CBN. Who would forget the movies Jose Rizal(1998) and Muro Ami(1999), both those films became top grossers and received recognition from various award giving bodies, noth films was directed by Marilou Diaz-Abaya.

It's expected theat Cesar Montano will do a sitcom and a teleserye with the Kapuso Network and posibly a another movie for GMA Films. And Cesar could reunite with the Diamond Star Maricel Soriano. Cesar Montano did a hosting job in Wowowee before his contract signing with GMA-7, but that's it, he needed a permanent job and not just guestings, and ABS-CBN didn't seem to have a tempting offer fro him so ayun lumipat.
