Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler were introduced recently as the newest American Idol judges replacing Ellen DeGeneres, Kara Dioguardi and Simon Cowell. J-lo and Steven Tyler will join the original surviving American Idol judge Randy Jackson, as the popular reality talent search in the world returns to it's original three judges format.
J-Lo and Steven Tyler are officially in American Idol, but can they bring back American Idol to it's status when it was first introduced in the United States? Well J-lo is a perfect replacement for the departed judge Paula Abdul because Paula is a former pop star and J-Lo is also a pop superstar, she sold million albums and had a couple of box office film, she knows how to scout a talent. But why did the FOX producers didn't considered J-Lo to replace Paula Abdul in the first place? Instead they picked Ellen DeGeneres who just joined the American Idol panel of judges for just one season and left immediately. How about Steven Tyler? The legendary rock icon, the lead vocalist of the legendary rock band Aerosmith. His band sold millions of albums worldwide, they have had couple of number one hits, and they are one of the longest running rock band of all time. I'm sure Steven Tyler will do a great job as an Idol Judge.
This upcoming Season 10 of American Idol is a start of a new era, you see after Simon Cowell left AI last year, critiques and loyal fans of AI are saying that the show will not do good without Simon and the ratings will surely drop, but statistics shows that American Idol have been experiencing drop in the ratings since Season 6 even with Simon Cowell on the panel, so why don't we give the show a chance, maybe there is life after Simon Cowell
