Hunk actor/politician Alfred Vargas is back on the Kapamilya Network after a very fruitful 7 years career in GMA-7.
Alfred Vargas is set to be a part of ABS-CBN's upcoming teleserye "Mutya" which is scheduled to hit the Philippine TV in 2011. Although Alfred Vargas has a pending offer from GMA-7 which is the epic serye "Amaya" starring Marian Rivera, his manager Lolit Solis decided to pick the one from ABS-CBN because his role in "Mutya" is much more "meaty" according to Lolit Solis.
Alfred Vargas was last scene on ABS-CBN's teleserye "Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan" in 2003 before he transferred to GMA-7. His first project as a Kapuso was "Marinara" in 2004 where he became the leading man of sexy comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto.
Let me share you something about Alfred Vargas, during the campaign period for the recent National Elections last May where Alfred ran for Q.C 2nd District Councilor and won, Alfred Vargas and all his running mates went to our place to campaign. Alfred Vargas then shared something about his career in GMA-7. Alfred said that he was called by the GMA Big Bosses and offered him a contract which guaranties him 6 teleseryes good for one year, plus he gets to choose any leading lady from the Kapuso roster, on one condition, Alfred must give all his political ambitions.
But then Alfred Vargas decided to pursue his political career so, he lost the offer. There's absolutely nothing bad with Alfred's decision to return to the Kapamilya Network where he started, after all it's his manager Lolit Solis who made the decision, the question is, will Alfred Vargas still be a big star in ABS-CBN? When he was a Kapamilya, nobody notices him, but when he transferred to the Kapuso Network, he became a star and he was one of GMA-7's most sought after leading man
he can risk fame for public service? interesting.
