Happy Yipee Yehey Is The Title of ABS-CBN's Newest Noontime Show

"Happy Yipee Yehey" is the title of ABS-CBN's newest noontime show. As reported earlier, "Happy Yipee Yehey" will be hosted by Randy Santiago, John Estrada, Mariel Rodriguez and Toni Gonzaga. The four of them being veterans of host ting a noontime show shall be the main hosts of the new show.


They will also be joined by Bentong, You Tube star Jober, Bianca Manalo and Melai Cantiveros. "Happy Yipee Yehey" is set to premiere on February 12 after "Showtime".

The Kapamilya Network is once again gunning for noontime supremacy, this time they are putting hosts from different noontime shows. These are the former hosts of the variety shows which was slaughtered by the undisputed noontime leader "Eat Bulaga!" with the exemption of Toni Gonzaga which was once a member of the Eat Bulaga! Dabarkads, now she will be going head to head with her former Dabarkads.

The Kapamilya Network also put Bentong who was also a former host of the defunct "Magandang Tanghali Bayan!" and Melai Cantiveros to add humor to the show. But the question is, how will this "Happy Yipee Yehey" thing be able to respond to the supremacy of "Eat Bulaga!"? The line up of hosts are seems good but maybe not enough.

I just noticed something, "Happy Yipee Yehey" seemed to by synonymous with "Wowowee". Parang pareho ang dating.

During the late 80's, Randy Santiago became a part of GMA-7's noontime show "Lunch Date" which replaced the also long-running noontime show "Student Canteen". Randy Santiago was joined by Lito Pimentel, Tina Revilla-Valencia, Toni Rose Gayda, Willie Revillame, Dennis Padilla, Ai Ai Delas Alas, Dennis Padilla and many others. Randy Santiago was such a huge phenomenon that the Broadway Centrum was not enough to accommodate his fans that rushes everyday to watch. This were the days when the Mr. Shades fever ruled and caused the erstwhile leader "Eat Bulaga!" to slump in the ratings battle. This was also the time when the term "Hawi Boys" became a catch praise in showbiz.

"Hawi Boys" ang tawag dun sa parang mga alalay ni Randy Santiago na ang trabaho ay hawiin yung mga fans na nagkakagulo. And those "Hawi Boys" were Willie Revillame and Dennis Padilla. But then, "Eat Bulaga!" which always finds a way to win managed to topple the Randy-Mania with a the Aiza Seguerra fever, and as they say, the rest is history.
