Undertaker VS. Triple H at Wrestle Mania XXVII: A Review

The Undertaker vs. Triple H match at WrestleMania XXVII  is the biggest match in WWE history. It's the Phenom depending his 18 - 0 Wrestle Mania winning streak against The Game. This match was triggered by that epic confrontation between Triple H and The Undertaker on Monday Night Raw which has a billing title 2.21.11, that night The Phenom returned to Raw after months of absence but the King of Kings also returned that same night and greeted The Undertaker. The two warriors stood toe to toe, no words came out of their mouth but their expressions and gestures as they stared at the Wrestle Mania XXVII marquee made it clear that both of them are ready to get it on at the grandest stage of them all.


But for those who doesn't know, this is not the first time ever that these two iconic figures in WWE history will square off at Wrestle Mania. Ten years ago, Triple H and The Undertaker fought at Wrestle Mania 17 on April 1, 2001 at the Reliant Astrodome in Houston Texas(watch related video here). The Undertaker as the American Bad Ass was victorious against Triple H in that match. So Triple H is one of the victims of the remarkable 18 - 0 streak of the Undertaker at Wrestle Mania.

In the past few weeks, The Undertaker and Triple H had their exchange of words on Raw and Smackdown but neither one of the mentioned about their match at Wrestle Mania 17. I was watching them and was hearing every word from the, The Undertaker told Triple H that he will just be one of those 18 men that he defeated at Wrestle Mania but the fact is the Phenom had already did, The Game is indeed on of those men. And it is also not appropriate to count it as 18 men, it's just 16 because Kane and Shawn Michaels lost twice from The Undertaker at Wrestle Mania.

But why is the WWE doesn't wanna talk about The Undertaker and Triple H's first duel at Wrestle Mania 17? Could it be that the WWE wants this upcoming match between The Phenom and The Game at Wrestle Mania XXVII seem like it's the first ever? Or the WWE wants everyone to believe that The Undertaker's streak is in more serious jeopardy that ever?

But just dig this, ten years ago during their first Wrestle Mania encounter, Triple H was just starting to evolve as one of the WWE's greatest, that time The Game was just a sadistic guy that everyone loves to hate. But today, Triple H is the King of Kings, he has now cemented his legacy as a thirteen time World Champion and have earned the respect of everyone. Today, even if Triple H use that sledge hammer to brutalize people, nobody would boo him and he can no longer be an effective heel because he is just to great. And ten years ago, The Undertaker's streak wasn't in such hype as today. With this two superstars being the last of an era and have established themselves as legends, The Undertaker vs. Triple H match at Wrestle Mania XXVII is indeed the war of wars.

And if this is a boxing match, people would probably place their bet on who they think would win this epic battle. And If you'll ask me who I believe would win, I'm placing my bet on The Undertaker. I'm a big fan of both The Undertaker and Triple H, I've seen them evolve for so many years but I think The Undertaker is the best man in this match. I believe that The Deadman now dubbed as The Last Outlaw would go on with his unbeaten streak at Wrestle Mania because that will be the legacy that he will leave the WWE when he retires, and when The Undertaker goes on to the WWE Hall of Fame, whoever inducts him would say "The man who is 20 - 0 at Wrestle Mania". That's right, 20 - 0 because The Undertaker will win this Wrestle Mania and next year he's gonna win another one and that's when he finally retires.
