Dolphy Passed Away at the Age of 83

Comedy King Dolphy passed away at the age of 83 at exactly 8:34 PM yesterday(July 10, 2012) at the Makati Medical Center due to multiple organ failure. Dolphy was supposed to be celebrating his 84th birthday this July.

Rodolfo Vera Quizon Sr. in real life was admitted at the Makati Medical Center last June 16, 2012 after complaining of shortness of breath He was diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Although Mang Dolphy showed some signs of recovery a few days later after undergoing dialysis, his condition went critical once again because of recurring pneumonia.

Dolphy is hailed as the one and only Comedy King of Philippine Showbiz, did a lot of films and long running TV Sitcoms like "John en Marsha" and "Home Along Da Riles". He also worked on stage and the radion. He is an inspiration to all comedians and as far as I can remember, Dolphy never needed to insult other people just to made people laugh.

Farewell Mang Dolphy, Rest in Pease. And though you were gone, your achievements and legacy will always be remembered and you will always be the one and only Comedy King of Philippine Showbiz.
