Floyd Mayweather Jr. faces Manny Pacquiao on May 2!

Its's finally official! Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao will meet each other inside the ring on May 2 in a welterweight clash. The clash between these two boxing icons could be considered as boxing's richest fight in history. Both Mayweather and Pacquiao announced the bout in social media after months of negotiations ending all doubts and speculations.

The bout will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and no doubt will break boxing records in attendance and pay-per-view buys. Predictions tells that Mayweather could earn $120 million or more, while Pacquiao's share could be around $80 million.

It has been a five or six years anticipation for these match and I guess these big announcement finally silences the critics and ends all debates regarding who's afraid of who. Since both camps decided to sit down and talk about these mega fight, it only took few months before the deal was finally sealed. I think that the fans became judgemental when it comes to these clash. Both Pacquiao and Mayweather are tough, both of them are warriors, they are ready to go at it when the time is right and it's unfair to say that Mayweather is afraid to face Pacquiao or vice versa. It's the people behind them who are scared to loose a lot in these fight. And now that it's finally official, expect this guys to put everything in this fight.

And for my prediction of the result of these fight, I think it's gonna Mayweather finishing on top, I think he's only got two mathes left before putting an end to his awesome boxing career and I respect they way he reserved those final matches to his arch rival Manny. Reports says that the contract for thes fight includes a rematch clause and I think that rematch would take place on September this year also, so I boldly predict that Mayweather would retire undefeated. I'm a proud Filipino, but these is boxing and not any battle for race suppremacy so I'll put my card on Floyd Mayweather an American boxer.

Updated:

there are no rematch clause in the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, this is the only time that these two boxers will face each other.
