Reports says that Southeast Asian streaming service iFlix will be streaming episodes of Voltes V and Daimos. iFlix is yet to decide whether to use the original english dub of the 2005 Filipino dub.
Voltes V and Daimos were originally aired in the Philippines on GMA-7 with English dub in 1978, however with only five remaining episodes it was ceased by former President Ferdinand Marcos due to violent content(according to him).
But then the dictator was ousted and Voltes V aired again on PTV 4 and ABS-CBN in 1986 and on IBC-13 in 1989. And it 1999 Voltes V found it's way home again when it was re-aired on GMA-7 courtesy of the "We Are Anime" initiative. Daimos followed sooner. Just recently in 2005, Hero TV also re-aired new tagalized dub version version of Voltes V.
GMA-7 also announced that they are planning to re-air Voltes V and Daimos with Kapuso stars doing the dub. Ken Chan was reported to do the voice of Prince Zardoz for Voltes V and Alden Richards and Louise Delos Reyes as Richard and Erika for Daimos.
Chō Denji Machine Voltes V and Tōshō Daimos form the second and third part of director Tadao Nagahama's "Romance Super Robot Trilogy" (Chō Denji Robo Combattler V forms the first part). Voltes V originally aired in Japan in 1977, and Daimos originally aired in 1978.
