The TV version is still based from the film except from some modifications made by the GMA writers. The story is about Salve played by Ms. Sharon Cuneta, she was a martyr but very loving wife to Christopher De leon, eventually Christopher met Hilda Koronel and they had an affair, and they made a scheme to eliminate Salve so they can be finally together and they succeeded. But soon Salve met Bembol Roco and Ms Monaliza who happened to own a syndicate, they taught Salve how to fight back and helped her took revenge against the people who caused her pain.
In this TV remake, the writers elaborated Ms. Dina Bonnavie's past, she is playing Monaliza's role in this soap. They elaborated how she got involved in the syndicate world, and a lot more difference will be seen here compare to the film. Yasmien will be playing Ms. Sharon Cuneta's role as Salve, Marvin Agustin as Christopher De leon's role, JC as Bembol Roco's role and Angelika Dela Cruz will play the role of Ms. Hilda Koronel.
This new GMA soap will feature Yasmien and JC's tandem, although they've done projects in GMA as love team, this is their first prime time show. BADK will also showcase Angelika Dela Cruz' return to the Kapuso station, she used to be the prime time princess of GMA until she came back to ABS-CBN where she started. Now that she's back would fans still accept her?
Other cast of Babangon ako't Dudurugin kita are Tonton Gutierrez, Glydel Mercado, Diana Zubiri, Paolo Contis, Patrick Garcia, and a whole lot more. Babangon ako't Dudurugin kita will air weeknights after Kamandag and before The Legend on GMA telebabad.
