Jasmine Murray and Gorge Nunez Leaves American Idol

The American Idol elimination have began last week, and two individuals was sent home and would no longer continue their dream of being the next American Idol.

Gorge Nunez and Jasmine Murray were the first casualty from the first elimination night. During the performance night, the 13 Idol finalists sang the hits of the "King Of  Pop" Michael Jackson. Jasmine sang "I'll Be There" and Jorge Nunez performed "Never Can Say Goodbye".

In that same night, a huge twist that would change the entire format of the contest was revealed. The Judges now has the power to save a contestant from elimination if  that individual could prove that he/she is deserving of another chance, they added this stipulation probably they've had enough of seeing people get eliminated because of text votes eventhough they are deserving just like what happened to Chris Daughtry.

After it was annouced that Jasmine and Gorge got the lowest votes in for that night, they were asked to sing once more and convince the judges to give them another chance but it did'nt worked. Both of them got ousted from AI Season 8 leaving 11 contestants to continue with the competition.
