We now know who the "Darna" is, and that's Marian Rivera. But there's another character needed to make it lively. All versions of "Darna" was known for one popular line "Ding ang Bato!". Ding the younger brother of Darna's alter ego Narda.
I have someone in my mind that is suitable to play "Ding", and I'm sure many will agree. The one I'm talking about is Robert "Buboy" Villar. The very talented child star who played Marian Rivera's sidekick in "Dyesebelle" whose now in Richard Gutierrez's sparring partner in "Zorro".
If he gets to be chosen as Ding, his tandem with Marian will be revived which in my opinion showed a great chemistry, the way they throw punchlines at each other in "Dyesebelle" were wacky and I'm sure they'll deliver the same antics together in "Darna". But there's one more question, who is Marian's leading man in "Darna", there are unconfirmed reports that it will be Mark Herras, but we still have to wait for further developments.

yes i totally agree that Buboy Villar suits to play the role of Ding..hanep! bilib ako sa acting skill ng batang 'to.. hanga talaga ako sa kanya kahit nung nasa diyesebel pa sya..and he is also a good brother..kung napanood niyo lang ang wish ko lang na siya ang humiling para sa brother niyang may sakit.. very inspiring.. nakakahanga talaga! You're right, maganda chemistry nila ni Marian at napakabibo ni buboy and may timing siya sa comedy.
