Richard Gutierrez Reconciles with Philippine Entertainment Portal

Kapuso Heart rob Richard Gutierrez and the Philippine Entertainment Portal headed by it's editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon have finally reconciled via an amicable settlement last February 9, 2010. Richard Gutierrez aborted the libel case that he filed against PEP regarding a malicious article that appeared on the website last March 29, 2009.

The said article alleged that Richard Gutierrez had a fight against Michael Flores that led to a gun pointing incident during the birthday party of director Mark Reyes. Jo-Ann Maglipon in behalf of PEP issued a public apology to Richard Gutierrez and the actor accepted the apology and both parties shook hand.


PEP's public apology

"The Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) hereby reiterates that Mr. Richard Gutierrez was never involved in any "heated altercation" or "tutukan ng baril" with Michael Flores or with any other individual on 29 March 2009, during the party of Zorro director Mark Reyes, contrary to an article briefly uploaded on its website on the same day.

"PEP editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon, managing editor Karen Pagsolingan and staffwriter Bong Godinez acknowledge their error; repeat their assurance that they have no malicious agenda against Mr. Gutierrez; and apologize for the publication of the article and their failure to get his side of the story and for the hurt it has caused him and his family."
