"Willing Willie" Debuted No. 1 Says TV5

Willie Revillame is back with his new show on TV5 called "Willing Willie" which premiered last October 23, 2010 (Saturday). And according to TV5, the show debuted No. 1 in the ratings.

According to Starmometer:

Willie Revillame is back! Last Saturday,”Willing Willie,” his much talked about new show on TV5, went on air for the first time and instantly became the #1 show on its timeslot. The Nielsen TV Audience Measurement (Megamanila Individuals) overnight ratings showed that with Willie’s new show, TV5 won 33.8%, followed by ABS-CBN with 30.4% and GMA with 26.0%.

“We are ecstatic with the very strong rating of Willing Willie and this is indubitable proof that Willie Revillame, contrary to recent propaganda, is and remains a well-loved host with a large base of loyal followers. We are confident that Willing Willie will also deliver strong ratings during weekdays and provide further lift to the ratings of our weekday shows,” shared Atty. Ray C. Espinosa, TV5 President and CEO.

“TV5 has already begun winning weekends, especially on Saturdays with L.O.L. and Talentadong Pinoy. The addition of Willing Willie makes TV5 truly the network to watch. It’s any programmers dream to have Vic Sotto, Ryan Agoncillo and Willie Revillame in one network and on one night. And yet, despite having such big name hosts, the great thing about our Saturday lineup is that the three shows are also focused on the audience, the shows all shine the spotlight on the people,” said TV5 EVP and COO Roberto “Bobby” V. Barreiro

Hmmm, is that so? Maybe the televiewers were just curios so they've decided to tune in to Willie's new show but we have to see how it will perform in the next few days, months or years to come. And about that idea of putting Vic Sotto, Ryan Agoncillo, and Willie Revillame on one show, I think I would like to see Joey De Leon and Willie Revillame together in one show, we know the history between this two iconic TV hosts, their love and hate relationship and their word wars I'm sure putting them together will become such a big hit and everybody would like to see that.
