Gretchen Barretto Beats Claudine Barretto in TV Ratings

The collision of Gretchen Barretto and Claudine Barretto's drama program from the rival networks ABS-CBN and GMA last Saturday created a lot of noise, Gretchen Barretto was featured in Maalaala Mo Kaya in the Kapamilya Network while Claudine Barretto's self-titled drama anthology was aired in the Kapuso Network. Everyone was wandering which of their drama programs will prevail in the ratings. And now, the result that everybody is waiting for, Gretchen Barretto's MMK guesting prevailed over Claudine Barretto's drama anthology Claudine. MMK got 21.5% rating while Claudine got 16.6% in Mega Manila Ratings via AGB Nielsen. In the Nationwide Ratings via TNS MMK got 31.4% and Claudine got 14.7%.

In an interview with Philippine Entertainmment Portal, Sarah admited that she was saddned about the transfer of Mark Bautista and Rachelle Ann Go's transfer to the Kapuso Network and revealed that Mark and Rachelle did'nt know about thier transfer and it just happened at a sudden, but according to Sarah it's the decision of VIVA Artist Agency and it needs to be respected. Well said Sarah, but you better watch out because the VIVA Artist Agency is seem to be pulling their talents to GMA-7, maybe next time it may your turn to go become a Kapuso.

American Idol Top 9 Results

The American Idol 9 results last night was so intense, Michael Lynche who is one of the favorites among the Idol hopefulls was almost eliminated but the judges used the save to keep him in the competition. Alomg with Michael on the bottom three were Aaron Kelly and Andrew Garcia. So next week we are still going to see the Top 9 and it's gonna be a good one because the Top 9 will be mentored by last season's runner up Adam Lambert and the theme will be Elvis' songs.

Rachelle Ann Go Is Now A Kapuso!

It's official finally! Rachelle Ann Go is now a Kapuso! Rachelle Ann Go and her manager Ms.Veronique del Rosario-Corpuz of VIVA Artist Agency signed and exclusive GMA contract yesterday, April 7, 2010. The big bosses of GMA-7 headed by Atty. Felipe Gozon (GMA President and CEO), Gilberto Duavit Jr. (GMA Network EVP and COO), Annette Gozon Abrogar (GMA Films President) and Ms. Wilma Galvante (SVP for Entertainment). Rachelle Ann Go will join GMA's Sunday variety show Party Pilipinas with her co-VIVA artist Mark Bautista, and Rachelle will be also going against ASAP XV where she was well identified.

Party Pilipinas Tied with ASAP XV in Mega Manila Ratings

Party Pilipinas was finally tied with it's rival Sunday show ASAP XV at least in Mega Manila. GMA-7's Party Pilipinas and ABS-CBN's ASAP XV got 12.7% a piece according to the latest AGB Nielsen Party Pilipinas overnight survey in Mega Manila last March 31-April 6, 2010. Last Sunday's episode of was a taped presentation which was held at Araneta Coliseum. This is a good sign for Party Pilipinas, it's pilot episode may not have been succesfull in the ratings game against ASAP XV but the second pilot did a good job of at least tying the battle. And by the way, it's official, Rachelle Ann Go is now a Kapuso, she just sign her contract today, and she will of course be the latest addition to Party Pilipinas, we'll see if she could help GMA-7's Sunday noontime show to finally topple ASAP XV.

Adam Carolla, an American radio personality and comedian insults Manny Pacquiao and the Philippines in his podcast. Adam Carolla gave his negative comments about Manny Pacquiao's drug testing issue that that caused Manny's fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. to be called off. Carolla called Manny Pacquiao an [expletive] idiot and illiterate and he seemed to be mentioning something about the prositution in the Philippines. On the other hand, Deputy  Presidential Spokesman representing the Philippine government have isued a statement regarding this matter.

According to Philippine Entertainment Portal, a reliable source confirmed about the rumors. Rachelle Ann Go is under the management of VIVA Entertainment and her contract on ABS-CBN will expire on April 4, that's today and if VIVA decided not renew Rachelle Ann's contract on the Kapamilya Network, it will be definitely goodbye to ASAP XV and hello Party Pilipinas.
