"Cain at Abel" I believe is the TV adaptation of the 1982 Lino Brocka classic of the same title about a rivalry of two brothers starring Philip Salvador as Loren, Christopher de Leon as Ellis and Mona Liza as their mother Senora Pina. The movie was based on the Story in the Book of Genesis about the first two son of Adam and Eve named Cain and Abel.
In the film, Senora Pina favors her younger son Ellis over the older Loren whom she blames for the death of her husband. Ellis grows up cowardly and spoiled while Loren becomes a responsible family man despite his increasing resentment towards his mother. The sibling rivalry develops into a deep feud that would later escalate into a large scale war with all the mayhem and bloodshed.
This is a very challenging project for both Aljur Abrenica and Dingdong Dantes, they will be doing an adaptation classic and critically acclaimed film, and they will be both forced to put out everything they know about acting.
