Kapuso actress Sarah Labhati just came back to the Philippines after a half year of vacation. And upon Sarah's return, she is set to face the libel suit filed by GMA Network against her regarding the malicious accusations against GMA which she posted on her Twitter account.
Sarah Labhati immediately filed a bail worth 10,000 Php to suspend the warrant of arrest filed against her. But Sarah still needs to show up in arraignment of her case, failing to do so will void her bail and will have her arrested. Aside from libel, Sarah is also facing a breach of contract charge after walking out of her commitments from GMA Network without permission.
I think this is just another part of the GMA Network Executives childish mind sets. This is nothing hut power tripping. Sarah Labhati stated her grievances against the network and now she is facing a libel sue.
I saw GMA Executive Atty. Anette Gozon's interview in 24 Oras, she is telling everyone that this is not just because Sarah said something bad about the network, they want to make an example of Sarah to all the Netizens and urged them to be responsible in using the social networking sites. Atty. Anette meant GMA Network's "think before you click" campaign against cyber bullying.
But they're not fooling everyone, GMA Network itself is a BIG BULLY and I'm talking about it's big bosses. This incident is similar to what happened to Angel Locsin several years ago when she moved to ABS-CBN. During that time, GMA Network big wigs kept on insisting that Angel and her manager Becky Aguila violated their contract and what did they do get retribution? GMA-7 big bosses and legal counsels freezed all the talents under Becky Aguila and they kept on slamming and bashing Angel Locsin on all their shows.
Yes nobody can prove that Sarah's accusations were true, but the GMA Network neither can't prove that those were not true. Just take a look at at those stars in the GMA roster who were getting the bid breaks, look at Louise Delos Reyes and Bea Binene as an example, they are over exposed and getting all the breaks despite of their below average talent and boring auras, that's because they are influential and they are a part of that ICONS talent agency that Sarah is talking about on her Tweets.
It is evident that the GMA Network is very partial with their talents, and when somebody like Sarah had the guts to tell the world about it, they get mad and tries to get rid of her.
The people of GMA Network thinks they are the underdogs here, but I'm not buying that. Their ego got hurt and now they utilize their powers to get back up.
