GMA-7's Exceptional Attention for Megan Young

Eversince Megan Young won the Miss World Crown, the Kapuso Network suddenly became obssessed about her. She has been receiving all the good praises, and Megan suddenly became GMA-7's biggest star.
Just a quick peak at Megan's history, she was a finalist of season 2 of GMA-7's reality talent search Starstruck and the Kapuso Network was bragging about since Megan won Miss World. She made it to the final 6 in the contest. Megan became a Kapuso exclusive talent as a consolation prize. But things didn't work quite well for Megan as a Kapuso, so she transferred to ABS-CBN 2 where she got more exposure. She also became a Video Jock in MYX and Channel V Philippines. And the she trained as a beauty pageant participant, won Miss World Philippines and was immortalized after being the first Filipina to ever win the Miss World Crown.

So looking at history, it is safe to say that Megan Young's success began when she became a Kapamilya. And during the past few days, the people from GMA-7 are looking so ridiculous everytime they brag how proud they are for Megan who they claim began her journey inside their yard. They are right, Megan Young started as a Kapuso and took her first step to immortality in Starstruck. But the question is, why didn't they took care of Megan during her days inside the Kapuso yard? If the believe tha Megan is exceptional, why didn't they gave her the opportunity when she was still a GMA-7 contract star?

I'm not taking away anything from GMA-7, Megan Young is now a public icon and every Filipino have the right the celebrate her triumph. It's just that the Kapuso Network people are not so consistent with their actions and words.

The Kapuso Network better savor the moment while Megan is still the reigning Miss World, they just got lucky that the Miss World organization has an exclusive tie up with their network, and after Megan's reign is over, she will be back as a Kapamilya. And will be their turn to say that, "the first Pinay Miss World belongs to our yard."
