Marian Episode Number 3: Review

I saw some signs of improvement in "Marian" last evening, the show's featured guests were James Reid, Nadine Lustre, Yasi Presman, The Universal Motion Dancers, The Manuevers and Gloc9.

The "Diary ng Panget" stars James Reid and Nadine Lustre were stunning, the fans always gets berserk everytime they come out, and I could swear, these loveteam got something that wows the fans and they do not need to sing or dance together to get the crowd wild.

Two of the 90s hottest dance group the UMD and the Manuevers did a medley of their most popular dance hits, and watching these two groups perform brings back tons of memories.

Of course it would not be complete without UMD's most popular dance hit "Always" featuring their signature steps And of course, the Manuevers did one of the most popular dance step "Macarena" which they popularized in the mid 90s.

Watching these two groups reminds me of old school dancing, no popping, twisting or whatever ridiculous dance steps. It's just a group dancing with perfect timing, coordination and synchronized movements.

Gloc9 and Julie Anne San Jose performed together with yet another amazing production number, Julie Anne's dancing skills were as awesome as her singing and Gloc9 is indeed the best rapper of this generation.

The only downside I see in the show was Marian Rivera's interview, as an interviewer and the host she must make sure that it's about the guest and not her. During her interview with Gloc9, Marian was actuall selling her experiences and comparing herself to Gloc9.

Marian was saying "parehas tayo", "ganun din ako", and I find that unethical as a host. As host, Marian should just listen to guest and give some opinions without actually promoting herself, that's egoistic. And I'm giving that segment an F minus.

It seems that "Marian" is starting to show some creative effort, I never thought I would actually like it except the host. It seems I'm gonna be blogging about it on a weekly basis.
