Descendants of the Sun (Hangul: 태양의 후예; RR: Taeyang-ui Huye) is an upcoming Korean drama on GMA-7 from South Korea starring Song Joong-ki, Song Hye-kyo, Kim Ji-won, and Jin Goo. It aired on KBS2 from February 24 to April 22, 2016 for 19 episodes. It was a major hit in South Korea and it's popularity spread immensely all over asia and now it has found it's new home in the Philippines.
The above teaser of Descendants of the Sun was already playing on GMA-7 last April but was cut because it was still ongoing. Maybe GMA-7 had to wait for Descendants of the Sun to conclude before they finally air it.
Descendants of the Sun marks the comeback Song Hye Kyo popularly known in the Philippines as Jenny of Endless Love: Autumn in my Heart and Jessy of Full House.
