I got confused when I saw the TV plug for the Manga Series Hana Kimi in GMA-7, and then I read that Hana Kimi will be shown also in ABS-CBN. Now my confusions were solved after I took a research about the TV series.
Hana Kimi was a popular Manga in Japan and was adapted in Taiwan as a drama series in November 2006 it was entitled Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nu. And another TV adaptation was aired in Japan in July 2007 which was called Hanazakari no Kimitachi e. Hana kimi is the story of a girl that pretended as a guy and enrolled in school exclusive for guys only to meet the guy he fell in love with. The Japanese Adaptation won the award for Best Drama in the 54th Television Drama Award and the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor for Horikita Maki and Ikuta Toma.
Now each stations are claiming they have the original series, but viewers needs to just choose which adaptation they like the best and of course the Kapamilyas will watch the Hana Kimi on ABS and the Kapusos on GMA.
This is not a new scenario on Philippine Television, if you recall the same thing happened when Betty La Fea was airing on GMA-7 and ABS-CBN aired it's sequel Eco Moda. Now it's happening again.
