Pacman Remains With Solar and GMA 7

Manny Pacquiao remains under the roof of Solar Sports and GMA 7, that was the Pambansang Kamao's final decision which he relayed through a statement read by his legal councel Atty. Franklin Gacal. In connection to this, Pacman's May 2 fight against Ricky Hatton will air on GMA 7.

A couple of days ago Manny Pacquiao decided to give the airing rights of his upcoming fight to ABS-CBN and turned down his contract with Solar Sports. This was also a sign that Pacman is also dropping down his existing contract with GMA 7 which he top-bills two shows "Pinoy Records" and "Totoy Bato". Both Solar Sports and GMA 7 did'nt like his actions and decided that they will take legal actions to protect their rights. This incident also heated up the rivalry between the top 2 networks ABS-CBN and GMA 7. And there were expectations from columnists that Pacquiao intended to transfer to ABS-CBN becuse the network offered him support for his rumored candidacy for the 2010 Elections.

For days Pacman was the talk of the town because of his drastic actions, many were not in favor of what he did. So yesterday March 21, Pacquiao decided to clean up the mess he did. He relayed an official statement through his attorney saying that MP Promotions will respect the leagl and binding contract with Solar Sports and made sure that his next match on May 2 will air on GMA 7 under the supervised by Solar. At the end of his staement Pacman apologized to the fans because his actions caused confusion and said that he will forget all controversies and just focus on his training for his match against Ricky Hatton.

This was not the first time that Manny Pacquiao turned down an existing contract, if you would recall couple of years ago Pacman was involved in the same incident after he transferred from Golden Boy Promotions to Bob Arum's Top Rank Promotions. He could have thought about that doing mess would only cause him to lose his focus to his next match so he decided to fix it.

Jasmine Murray and Gorge Nunez Leaves American Idol

The American Idol elimination have began last week, and two individuals was sent home and would no longer continue their dream of being the next American Idol.

Gorge Nunez and Jasmine Murray were the first casualty from the first elimination night. During the performance night, the 13 Idol finalists sang the hits of the "King Of  Pop" Michael Jackson. Jasmine sang "I'll Be There" and Jorge Nunez performed "Never Can Say Goodbye".

In that same night, a huge twist that would change the entire format of the contest was revealed. The Judges now has the power to save a contestant from elimination if  that individual could prove that he/she is deserving of another chance, they added this stipulation probably they've had enough of seeing people get eliminated because of text votes eventhough they are deserving just like what happened to Chris Daughtry.

After it was annouced that Jasmine and Gorge got the lowest votes in for that night, they were asked to sing once more and convince the judges to give them another chance but it did'nt worked. Both of them got ousted from AI Season 8 leaving 11 contestants to continue with the competition.

JC de Vera Remains Kapuso

After the gap between talent manager Annabelle Rama and GMA 7 have been fixed, JC de Vera can now rest assured about his career, because Annabelle Rama and GMA's Executives Atty. Felipe Gozon and Annette Gozon-Abrogar have both agreed that the young actor is staying on GMA 7's roster for good.

JC de Vera's career has been in a limbo during the last couple of weeks wondering wether he will stay as a Kapuso or will he move to the Kapamilya Station. This incident is due to the fued between his manager Annabelle Rama and GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Ms. Wilma Galvante, it lead to the point that the Talent Manager unloaded a threat that if JC will not have a new show, she will pull-out all of her talents from GMA which is about a dozen.

But after the meeting between the talent manager and the GMA bosses which ended in a nice manner we'll gonna see more of JC on GMA 7 because his manager agreed that JC will sign another contract and do future projects for GMA. His next show will be a Sine Novela which I think is "Ngayon At Kailanman.

Anyway JC celebrated his birthday in advance I think yesteday or the other day. And the actor says that he is glad that he is staying with the Kapuso Network and it's a nice birthday gift for him.

Annabelle Rama Seats Down with GMA 7 BigWigs

Guess what, the misunderstanding between Annabelle Rama and GMA 7 was finally settled. The talent manager and GMA's Senior Vice President for Entertainment Wilma Galvante is currently having a feud regarding Annabelle's talent JC de Vera. The talent manager even threatened GMA that she will do a mass pull-out of all her talents if JC will not have a follow-up project for LaLola.

But it seems Atty. Felipe Gozon and Annette Gozon-Abrogar, two top Executives of GMA would'n allow that to happen. Earlier today, the GMA Execs had a meeting with Annabelle Rama and according to some sources, that meeting ended well and both camps have agreed that every matters concerning Annabelle's talent will gonna have to go through Ms. Annette Gozon-Abrogar.

Great news, but it does'nt mean that the fued between Annabelle Rama and Ms. Wilma Galvante is not yet over. It will be better if they will be the ones to have a one on one meeting.
