Ehra Madrigal: Ang Pinakamagandang Hayop Sa Balat Ng Lupa

"Ang Pinakamagandang Hayop Sa Balat ng Lupa" is a classic film back in the 70's, the title role was portrayed by former Ms. Universe Ms. Gloria Diaz. It had a revival in the 90's and was portrayed by another beauty queen Ms. Ruffa Gutierrez.

This is Ehra Madrigal's first starring role on television and  her biggest break in showbiz that could give put her to superstardome just like what  this classic project did for her predecessors for this role.

Sexy Kapuso star Ehra Madrigal will top-bill GMA 7's television remake of  Celso Ad Castillo's "Ang Pinakamagandang Hayop Sa balat ng Lupa".

Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo are Newly Weds

Couples Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo had finally tied the not yesterday morning at the San Juan Nepomoceno Church in San Juan Batangas. The ceremony took place a 7:00 in the morning and was officiated by Fr. Tito Caluag.

Tha two couples had announced that thir wedding will take place by this year but contrary to expeculations that it will be a well publicized and perhaps the grandest wedding of the year, the ceremony took place very privately. Only family members and friends was invited to witness the simple wedding.

The Megastar Sharon Cuneta was the maid of honor and Ryan Agoncillo's brother Dondi acted as the best man. The sponsors for Judy Anne and Ryan were Mon Isberto of Smart Communications,Bien Bautista, Benjie Gonzales the uncle of Ryan, Susie Entrata-Abrera, Director Rory Quintos, and Judy Ann's road manager Jane Buencamino. Agot Isidro and Ogie Alcasid was there as the wedding singers.

Only You in ABS-CBN Primetime Bida

After a few months of hiatus, Angel Locsin is finally back in the primetime block where she had reigned supreme. This is via her latest teleserye in ABS-CBN "Only You".

This is Angel Locsin's second primetime tv series in the Kapamilya network after "Lobo" where she co-stared with Piolo Pascual. This time, Angel will be working with two Kapamilya hunks Sam Milby and Diether Ocampo.

"Only You" is a Pinoy adaptation of a hit Koreanovela of the same title which was aired in ABS-CBN back in 2005 I think. Angel Locsin in this teleserye is playing the role of a chef where some of the scenes were shot from Korea. Other casts includes Iya Villania, Tirso Cruz III, Al Tantay, Nash Aguas, Dimples Romana and many more. "Only You" airs starting tonight on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.

Robert "Buboy" Villar as Ding?

We now know who the "Darna" is, and that's Marian Rivera. But there's another character needed to make it lively.  All versions of "Darna" was known for one popular line "Ding ang Bato!".  Ding  the younger brother of  Darna's alter ego Narda.

I have someone in my mind that is suitable to play "Ding", and I'm sure many will agree. The one I'm talking about is Robert "Buboy" Villar. The very talented child star who played Marian Rivera's sidekick in "Dyesebelle" whose now in Richard Gutierrez's sparring partner in "Zorro".

If he gets to be chosen as Ding, his tandem with Marian will be revived which in my opinion showed a great chemistry,  the way they throw  punchlines at each other in "Dyesebelle" were wacky and I'm sure they'll deliver the same antics together in "Darna".  But there's one more question, who is Marian's leading man in "Darna", there are unconfirmed reports that it will be Mark Herras, but we still have to wait for further developments.

Marian Rivera is Darna!

GMA have finally announced who the next Darna will be, and it's none other than Marian Rivera!It has been a big question mark on who will be the next to portray the most covetive super heroine role in the Philippines, and now it was all made clear.

Marian was being told by the GMA management that right after "Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang" which is about to end, that she should condition herself physically and emotionally because her upcoming project will not be so light. And after that rumors have circulated the showbizlandia that her next role will be "Darna", and yes it is. The huge announcement was made yesterday April 23 in the afternoon, and just like the way Marian was told to do "Marimar", it once again became a big surprise for her.

"Darna" on GMA was first portrayed by Angel Locsin back in 2005 and it soared high in the ratings and put Angel Locsin in superstardome. When the series ended, there were expeculations that it will come back on air but Angel moved to ABS-CBN, last yearthe Kapuso station showed a teaser of the upcoming series "Captain Barbell meets Darna" but it was cancelled maybe because GMA could'nt find someone suitable to portray the heroine. But this time it will just be "Darna" alone, and I'm pretty sure that Marian Rivera will be compared to Angel Locsin's portrayal of the heroine role and the public will be ask who among them is sexier in the Darna costume.

Richard Gutierrez and Anne Curtis Reunites

Ex-sweethearts Richard Gutierrez and Anne Curtis reunites in the latset romantic flick "Maybe This Time", this project is under the joint venture of GMA Films and VIVA Films.


The teaser of this movie is being shown in GMA 7, it has a tag line that says "A new romantic film of two old flames". In that teaser, Richard Gutierrez is walking and bumps up with a strange girl whose face was not shown but now we know that it's Anne Curtis, for a while I thought that was Angel Locsin but that's quite imposible for now because Angel Locsin had a fued with Kapuso before. Anne was only allowed to do this film because her career is being managed by VIVA. Richard Gutierrez and Anne Curtis worked together in GMA's sitcom "Beh Bote Nga" and they also portrayed the role of young Annabelle Rama and Eddie Gutierrez in "Magpakailanman". That was during the time when Anne Curtis was still a GMA talent.

Just by the title of the film you could very well guess that the theme song will be "Maybe This Time" by Michael Murphy, this film by the way will be directed by Maryo J. delos Reyes.

Hole In The Wall

In the tradition of Family Fued, Kakasa Ka Ba Sa Grade 5, My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad comes another exciting and challenging game show from GMA 7 that will surely add spice to evening viewing. It's Hole In The Wall hosted by Angelina(Ogie Alcasid) and Yaya(Michael V.) of Bubble Gang.

Hole In The Wall is a pinoy adaptation of a popular game show from Japan called Brain Wall or Human Tetris, it also has a U.S. which air in FOX. In this game, the flexibility and the quick thinking of the participants will be tested as they have to fit themselves into different human shapes in a styrofoam wall moving towards them. If they fail to do so, they will be pushed by the wall to fall in a mini water pool. It's prety challenging because the shapes in the wall are'nt just ordinary positions, sometimes, the contestants have to jump or contort themselves to fit in the hole.

Hole In The Wall will air starting tomorrow April 20, 2009 replacing Family Fued. But for all those Family Fued fans out there don't worry that you'll missed the show hosted by Richard Gomez because for sure it will return for a Season 2.

Salvation For Matt Giraud

Finally, the American Idol's four judges were able to use a save, and it prevented Matt Giraud from leaving the contest, and his dreama will continue at least for next week.

Along with Matt in the bottom 3 were Anoop Desai and Lil Rounds. During the performance night the finalist sang Movie Theme Songs, Matt performed "Have You Ever Love A Woman". Matt's performance was not pleasing for the judges and he got quashed.

Anoop Desai was the first one to be put to safety which left Lil Rounds and Matt Giraud in the bottom two, until Ryan Seacrest announced the it's Matt's turn to go home, but as usual he was given another chance to sing for his life but this time minus the piano, this  time he nailed it and convinced the judge to save him from elimination, that's good news, but the bad news according to Simon Cowell is that next week two individuals will go home as the still top 7 finalists enters the "Disco Week".

Bossing Vic Sotto is the new host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire

And that's the final answer! Bossing is now an official member of the TV5 family after the Eat Bulaga host agreed to host the hit game show. Vic Sotto is now with his best friend Joey De Leon who is hosting WOW Mali in TV5 also. This is Bossing's first hosting job outside GMA and TAPE Inc. that is the producer of Eat Bulaga.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is a hit game show all over the world and the Philippines had it's own version way back in 2000 which was first hosted by Christopher De Leon. Contestants have a chance to win P1m if the can answer questions with equivalent amount upto the P1M question, if they have a hard time, they can use a lifeline(50-50, Ask the audience, and call a friend).The game show made famous of the lines "can I use a lifeline?" and "is that your final answer?". WWTBAM was evan used for the Oscar Best Picture Film "Slumdog Millionaire".

Simon Cowell Is Leaving American Idol?

Hi there people! I've missed posting about American Idol results for two weeks, but now I'm back doing it again. But this time I got a not so good news about American Idol with regards to its resident judge for it's 8 seasons. I'm talking about Simon Cowell.

There is a posibility that AI's hard to please judge is going to leave the show. This is due to his very busy schedule, imagine the fact that Simon is doing 3 different shows American Idol, Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor. Assume how difficult for hime to travel from UK to US (vice versa) just to do his commitments. Accroding to Simon, he can's imagine quiting The X Factor or Britain's Got Talent, and he got his eyes on American Idol, he added that he still got a one year contract with AI and maybe that will be it according to Cowell.

It's hard to imagine American Idol without Simon Cowell, although he is being criticize by many because of the way he handles the contestants but the fact is the man just want to give his honest opninion and he is the one that started the trend were judges of reality talent search speaks mean words to the contestants., in fact his way of speaking with the contest participants is being imitated and copied by some judges of talent searches not only in the Philippines but the rest of the world. Hope thathe reconsiders to stay with AI.

In addition to this, we would recall that Paula Abdul also an American Idol judge was the one who was rumored many times that she will leave the show, now it's Simon's turn.

Dennis Trillo and Jennica Garcia Top bills "Adik Sa'yo".

Hi guys, I have'nt updated this blog for over a week because I was busy constructing a new blog. Anyway I'm back with a juicy showbiz news to all Kapuso fanatics out there. Dennis Trillo and Jennica Garcia will top bill GMA 7's latest soap opera entitled "Adik Sa'yo".

We have seen both Dennis and Jennica in "Gagambino" before portraying brother and sister and in fairness they have a wonderfull chemistry. But here in "Adik Sa'yo" their chemistry will be tested as love team. And if you were able to see GMA's ID for the line up of their new shows, Dennis and Jennica were their and they have what they called the "kilig factor". Good luck to this love team. In addition to this, Dennis and Jennica are not alone in this soap, we're also gonna see the comeback love team of  Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin, very promising soap is'nt it?

There were early reports that Jennica Garcia and Dennis Trillo will do the pinoy adoptation of the hit Korean series "Coffee Prince", but there have been plan changes, so watch out for "Adik Sa'yo" in GMA Telebabad.
