American Idol 9 Encore - Announcement of the Top 12

American Idol Season 9 has just introduced the Top 12 Finalists. Katelyn Epperly, Todrick Hall, Alex Lambert and Lily Scott was eliminated. Here are some of the highlights in last nights American Idol 9 results night via QTV 11.

Ryan Seacrest started the show by asking who do you want in the Top 12? Then the American Idol 9 Top 16 performed in the opening singing Michael Buble's hit single "Have'nt Met You Yet".

Now let's get to the results, 12 stools are at stake for the Top 12 finalists. Dim the lights, Didi Benami is first-she made it into the Top 12, Siobhan Magnus-also in the Top 12, Paige Miles and Katelyn Epperly in the center of the stage-Paige Miles made it into the Top 12, the end of the road for Katelyn Epperly and she sang her final song.

Dim the lights, this time let's go with the guys. Tim Urban, Lee Dewyze, and Casey James were called into the center stage by Ryan Seacrest, who is going to the Top 12....Casey is safe, he made it into the Top 12, Tim Urban is also safe....It's down to just Todrick Hall and Lee Dewyze, one is heading into the Top 12 and the other one is going and that's Todrick, Lee is also in the Top 12.

Let's take a break from the intense results, how about a little performance from Season 8 Finalists Scott Mcintyre and Matt Giraud on piano performing Billy Joel's hit "Tell Her About it", they're just so great.

Back to the results, dim the lights. Let's star with Crystal Bowersox-she is in the Top 12, Michael Lynche-also made it into the final 12, Lacey Brown-made it into the Top 12, Aaron Kelly-also makes it, Alex Lambert and Andrew Garcia are left and Andrew made it, Alex Lambert leaves American Idol.

Just one more Idol stool is left, Katy Stevens and Lilly Scott are the only ones left. And the last Idol stool belongs to Katy Stevens, Lilly Scott will end her Idol journey from here. A special vtr was played for Lilly, Todrick Alex, and Katelyn.

Next week is the start of the Top 12 performance and they are gonna be doing songs from the legendary rock band Rolling Stones.
