Machete Debuts Strong in Mega Manila Ratings

Recent survey from AGB Nielsen says that Machete had a strong debut in Mega Manila last Monday night. According to the AGB Nielsen People Rating, Machete got a 12.8% rating compared to it's rival program Mara Clara which scored only 11%.

Although Machete was able to beat Mara Clara in the Mega Manila Ratings, it was severely beaten by Mara Clara in Kantar Media's Nationwide Ratings. Mara Clara scored a huge 29.6% while the statue turned lifeless with a poor 19% Rating, that's a 10 points difference. But we'll see how GMA-7's Machete is going to perform in the next few weeks.

Anyways, who cares about that Kantar Media Ratings, since it started measuring the TV ratings in the Philippines, GMA 7 programs couldn't barely win against ABS-CBN's Primetime Shows. It's only in Daytime that GMA Programs wins in Kantar. So we can therefore conclude that ABS-CBN viewers turns off their TV sets every afternoon. Just take a look at that "Noah" for example, are they sure that it's still one of the Top Primetime shows in the Philippines while we could barely hear people talking about the Piolo Pascual soap opera.
