Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica Reunites in Machete

This is a follow up post regarding the guest appearance of Kris Bernal in the GMA-7 Fantaserye "Machete"(click here to read related article). Yesterday, Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal were featured in 24 Oras' Chika Minute. Both of them expressed how excited they are to be reunited in "Machete". Kris Bernal made a confession that she and Aljur almost had a serious relationship during their AlKris days. But of course we all know that it was just a gimmick to promote the AlKris reunion in "Machete", it is obvious that GMA-7 wants the televiewers to believe that something almost went on between Aljur and Kris so that the fans of their former love team will come back and watch "Machete" to save it's ratings.


And before that report was finished, GMA-7 showbiz reporter Lhar Santiago said that the relationship between Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal could once more blossom with their reunion in "Machete", but that is very far from happening because as far as I know, Kris Bernal seem to have a romantic involvement with Party Pilipinas mainstay Jay Perillo.

And for those who was able to see "Machete" last night, that previous episode could be the clue to how the character of Kris Bernal will appear in the Fantaserye. Machete retrieved his powerful axed and he was finally freed from the curse, that turns him into a wooden statue everytime the sun shows up. Machete had a fight to the finish with Ryan Eigenman and he was about to finish his arch nemesis when the possessed Marla came with Aginaya which she held hostage, that provided the distraction to Machete and allows his enemy to capitalize and threw him into the lake or sea and Machete is drowning. And in this particular scene we could guess what happens next, Kris Bernal's character will then appear and she will save Machete, and this is how the new twists in the story of Machete will start.

But I just thought that this is such a predictable scene and I've seen it happened is other GMA-7 Fantaseryes. This scene also happened in Aljur and Kris' Fantaserye "The Last Prince", when Kris Bernal's character Lara was saved by Karl Guevarra(tama ba?). But this is just a prediction, maaari ring mali ako. Lat's just see what happens. But to tell you honestly, Kris Bernal suddenly made "Machete" interesting for me, Kris is so beautiful.
