Marian Rivera then issued a statement at the "Temptation Island" presscon last June 24(read full story here)
According to Marian, she was shocked, because all the while she thought that everything is "okay" between her and Heart but that wasn't the deal.
Meanwhile, Heart Evangelista is yet to react about the issue because as of this moment, the actress is still in Brazil with her boyfriend Daniel Matzunaga.
Dingdong Dantes had an interview with the Entertainment website Philippine Entertainment Portal and here is his statement about the Marian-Heart feud:
"Sa lahat ng pagkakataon, we always help each other. Alam kong malalagpasan niya ito," saad niya.
All I can say about this controversy is that it could just be a huge press release for the movie "Temptation Island". The movie needs some sort of gimmicks and promos to help it rake in the box office. And a feud between Marian Rivera and Heart Evangelista is a great promo since they are the two biggest stars in the movie, and whether it's a bad publicity or not, it's still a publicity and it could help the promo for the movie. You'll see, after "Temptation Island" is shown on theaters, Marian and Heart will have a highly publicized reconciliation.
And why do you think that GMA Films and Regal Films are doing this kind of promo for "Temptation Island"? It's simply because they doubt that this movie will perform well in the box-office. Personally I don't think that the people needs to watch this movie. The original "Temptation Island" became a classic but I don't think this remake can surpass or just match the original. Look at the remake of "Working Girls", the original was a certified hit but the remake didn't do well, I guess "Temptation Island" is about to suffer the same fate, let's wait and see and find out whether the Marian-Heart feud would help the movie.
