During the Starstruck days, the contestants have to undergo a series of artista tests like singing, dancing, hosting and acting, total star package as they call it. If Protege will also have this kind of format, how will the mentors teach their Proteges? The mentors for the new season of Protege by the way are Phillip Salvador, Ricky Davao, Roderick Paulate and Gina Alajar. None of this veteran actors and actresses were accustomed to singing, hosting or dancing, all of them were known for their remarkable acting ability and I'm curious how will they teach their Proteges something that they are not accustomed with? The only way they might be able to do their tasks as a mentor is if they will hire other stars to teach their Proteges about singing, dancing and hosting.
But there is another possible format for Protege Season 2 which I think I might buy. Instead of having a dancing, singing, hosting, and acting weeks of tests, why not put the contestants in a comedy, action, and drama tests every week, in that way, the mentors will not push themselves so hard teaching their Proteges how to sing, dance, or host a show.
But again, I may just be speaking to soon, we just have to wait until Protege The Battle for the Big Artista Break finally airs and that time we can pour down our opinions and reviews.
eh ano? whatever format pa yan fact is GMA sure can produce winners but can't produce a star.
