Manny Many Prizes Getting Axed, Kylie Backs Out From "Pahiram ng Sandali" and Julie Anne San Jose vs. One Direction on MYX

Manny Many Prizes getting axed, Kylie Padilla backs out from "Pahiram ng Sandali" and Julie Anne San Jose vs. One Direction are some of the showbiz updates that I've gathered for the week and I'm gonna slice them down and deliver my thoughts about them.

1.Manny Many Prizes about to get axed. Finally the Kapuso Network executives are gonna do something right. The impending cancellation of  Manny Many Prizes hosted by the 8 Division Champ Manny Pacquiao is actually the best Christmas gift from GMA-7. The show was not working right from the start, the format the title and everything about it sucks! And besides, it's kinda irrelevant during this days since it was made just to compete against TV5's Wiltime Bigtime which is hosted by Manny's co-league Willie Revillame and I think that show's popularity has now subsided and is no longer and I doubt if it ever has been a threat on it's rivals. And the thing that I really hate about MMP is the idea that every single audience that watches the show live in the studio is gonna receive money for their vehicle fare, that is the most ridiculous thing in the history of Philippine Game Shows. Each audience and contestant came all the way from provinces without anything but their hopes to win cash prizes from their so called Ninong Manny and just for the sake that they don't go home empty handed will just be given money for fare! That's an abuse to poverty and to all the poor people in the country and definitely not the patriotic and saintly image the Manny Pacquiao is trying to project and it's an absolute insult!

2.Kylie Padilla Backs out from "Pahiram ng Sandali". "Pahiram ng Sandali" is the title of GMA-7's upcoming soap starring Dingdong Dantes, Kylie Padilla, and Lorna Tolentino. The said project is the Kapuso Network's replacement for "Haram" which was shelved due to religious conflicts. Just few days ago, Kylie Padilla had and interview in 24 Oras telling how excited she is for her new project and it's a dream come true to being paired with her dream leading man Dingdong Dantes, but all of a sudden the young actress backed out from the project. Recent reports told that Kylie Padilla didn't like her role upon attending the story conference and that's because theme "Pahiram ng Sandali" focuses on adultery and all about having mistresses and other woman and according to Kylie, the theme doesn't suit her age. I bet that the GMA-7 creative group are having a headache about this Dingdong-Kylie love team. First, "Haram" was cancelled and now that they've come up with a replacement, Kylie backed out. They simply couldn't do it right. And about this mistresses themes on TV soaps and movies, it's becoming a trend and everyone is enjoying it despite the fact that adultery is a big NO NO legally and morally, whatever happened to the slogans "Pamilya ang Tibok ng Pusong Pilipino", TV Networks are now producing soaps showing how a family is ruined by having illicit affairs and lust. I don't think that an SPG Rating is enough, what do you say MTRCB Chair?

3. Julie Anne San Jose vs. One Direction. It's alwasy a stiff battle between Julie Anne San Jose and One Direction for MYX supremacy. It reached a point that the fan based of both acts are blasting each other on social media to fight for their favorites. And my eyes are on this group called One Directioners who keeps on bashing my girl Julie. I'm a One Direction fan but to be quite honest, Julie is a far far far better singer compared to the group. 1D sounds good when they sing together but they sound awful doing solo. And this One Directioners are just bitter Kapamilya fans who feels so bitter that a Kapuso singer is dominating a Kapamilya music channel so they are using One Direction to bash Julie. And this group of people are particularly those Jejemons who saves 15 from their daily allowance to play DOTA and downloads illegally from file sharing sites to have their favorite 1D songs played so annoyingly loud on their low end mobile phones.
