Is Sunday All Star doomed? That could very well be the future of GMA-7's Sunday noontime show after the announcement made last week about Willie Revillame's arrival to the Kapuso Network.
Revillame returns on tv with his recycled game variety show which would now be called "Wowowin", which will air every Sunday noon. Although GMA-7 haven't confirmed whether this will replace Sunday All Stars, the current status of the show which always lacks preparations and seems to be wasting air time makes us think if GMA-7 creatives finally gave up on the show and have finally decided to hand over the slot to Willie.
I am one of the critiques of SAS and consistent in saying that the entire show is a waste of time, but I do not think it's Mr. Revillame who should fill the gaps.
Wowowee, Willing Willie, Will Time Big Time, WowoWillie or whatever title he wants to call his show, it always gets involves in controversy. And again the show having a new name we could just be thinking what's next? GMA execs could be just picking up a stone to smash it to their own heads.
ABS-CBN and TV5 had a chance to renew Willie's contract but they didn't because they knew it would mean more trouble. After everything that happened to Willie's hosting career, you can't help but wander, what is it with this guy that trouble and controversy always follows him?
And finally you have to give the Kapuso Network credit for gambling with Willie.
