TV5'S UNPROFESSIONAL HOSTING OF PILIPINAS DEBATES

TV5 hosted the second round of COMELEC's Presidential debates "Bilang Pilipino" held in Cebu.

Compared to GMA-7's Pilipinas Debates which was held in Cagayan de Oro last month, TV5's strategy and format was completely amateur and lacks proper administration.

The debate was delayed because the presidentiables and the organizers argued about the format and rules of the debate, a presidential candidate even threatened to walk out.

During the debates, the moderator Luchi Cruz-Valdez were just allowing the participants to just interrupt one another and at some point almost talked trash to each other. They were arguing like juveniles and were saying things which are totally irrelevant from the question.

Unlike with GMA's Pilipinas Debates where only two pairs of presidentiables were allowed to comment on each other and were strict in the implementation of time limit that were given at each candidates to answer.

The TV5 news department wants to make these debate a no holds barred and controversial and it turned out to be a cat fight rather than a decent presidential debates.

This just shows that through the years, TV5 still hasn't evolved as a tv network, they are totally amatuer and unorganized and they do not have the mechanism to host a national tv event. That is the reason why upto now they cannot catch up on ABS-CBN and GMA-7 despite all the major efforts and makeovers.
