The casts of Encantadia 2016 have been revealed, particularly the 4 Sangres of Lireo. Eversince I've heard about the Encantadia remake, I've been guessing who will be the four actress to play the roles, and now that the guessing game is over, here are my reactions about GMA's choice:
Kylie Padilla as Amihan- Kylie is actually my bet for this role originally played by Iza Calzado. Amihan is a fierce warrior but has a soft heart which sometimes make her weak in decision making, Kylie has that same aura as Iza. And during GMA-7's cast reveal I almost shouted Yes! when it was Kylie playing Amihan.
Gabi Garcia as Alena- originally played by Karyle, Alena has the most beautiful voice but is the weakest among the four which is the reason why she is easily manipulated by her sister Pirena. This was a good choice too, Gabi looks so innocent and tamed and she's really a good singer.
Sanya Lopez as Danaya- I don't know who she is but Sanya is so sexy and hot. Danaya is the bravest among the four Sangres but she always fights for the good side and she is very loyal to Amihan and the Lireo kingdom. Originally played by Diana Zubiri who is a former sexy star, it is just right that Danaya of Encantadia 2016 will also be played by a sexy star which Sanya is, I'm just not sure if she could portray the same way Diana did because I've never seen her before. Since the role of Danaya ignited Diana Zubiri's career, I expect it to do the same to Sanya's.
Glaiza De Castro as Pirena- probably the choice I didn't like the most. Yes Glaiza did many antagonist roles before but why Pirena? Glaiza even looks older than Marian Rivera-Dantes who will play as her mother Minea. Maybe seniority was GMA's category in choosing her. The original actress who played Pirena was Sunshine Dizon, and during that time she was the veteran among the four. But the way I see things, Glaiza will be a more evil and despicable version of Pirena.
There you go, the four Sangres of Lireo guarding the four gem stones of Encantadia. More to come as the return of the telefantasia that was loved by everyone draws nearer.
