Pinoy Remake of Twilight is Fake!

Many people specially the fans of the hit movie "Twilight" are reacting about a buzz that ABS-CBN is in the process of creating a tagalog version of the vampire movie which was based from the original novel by Stephenie Meyer, and the Pinoy version of the vampire film will be called "Takipsilim" and will be starred by Rayver Cruz as the vampire "Edward Cullen" and Shaina Magdayao as "Bella Swan", and will be directed by Cathy Molina.

The rumor said that ABS-CBN bought the TV rights to create a Tagalog version of "Twilight" for the whoping price of US$ 1 Million. The news was so detailed that it even mentioned an unofficial list of cast. Included in the list were: Valeen Montenegro as Alice Cullen, Gabby Concepcion as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, Luis Manzano as Emmett Cullen, Al Tantay as Charlie Swan, Yayo Aguila as Renee Dwyer, Fred Payawan as Jacob Black, Carlos Agassi as James, Chin Chin Gutierrez as Esme Cullen, Karylle as Rosalie Hale, Joross Gamboa as Jasper Hale, Jessy Mendiola as Jessica Stanley, Empress Schuck as Angela Weber, Brad Murdoch as Laurent, Nikki Bacolod as Victoria, and Aaron Villaflor as Mike Newton.

The buzz about the Pinoy remake of  "Twilight" was so hot that the entire "Blogosphere" is talking about it for almost a week. I myself even found a poster of the movie with Rayver Cruz and Shaina Magdayao's face on it which is obviously made through the magic of "Photoshop". The rumors earned criticisms from the Twilight fans who even put up a petition on the web asking ABS-CBN to stop their plan of making a Pinoy version of the movie.

Well ABS-CBN's camp has just denied the rumors and said that if ever they really have a plan of doing a remake of "Twilight" they'll be the first one to notifay the public. But I don't think they'll still push through with it even if the rumors were through, because the news earned negative reactions from the public. But with that ABS-CBN scored because they earned publicity.

Backstreet Boys Reunion

I was browsing the web today searching for Backstreet Boys layout for my Friendster profile and I found an article about a Backstreet Boys Concert, and the highlight of that concert was former Backstreet Boys member Kevin Richardson rejoining his former BSB bandmates singing one of their biggest hit "Shape Of My Heart".
I found a video clip of this concert on Youtube, the concert took place last November 23 of  2008 at Los Angeles at the Palladium in Hollywood. The venue was totally scream filled meaning that fans really anticipated the BSB reunion.

Seeing this video raised the hairs all over my body, I never thought I would be able to see all five members of Backstreet Boys together, it was awesome it almost made me cry to see them reunited. I wish Kevin Richardson will rejoin Backstreet Boys. And like what I always said  Backstreet Boys Forever......!

The Dra. Vicky Belo-Dr. Hayden Kho Break up

The Vicky Belo-Hayden Kho break-up issue is certainly the loudest talk of the town and the biggest break-up issue for the 2008 year ender.

This issue has draged the names of Rufa Mae Quinto and Katrina Halili as the third party. But Rufa Mae Quinto was acquited so that leaves only Katrina Halili. There were even news that Katrina Halili and Dr. Hayden Kho has a "Sex Video" and that video is being kept by Dra Vicky Belo as an evidence which will prove that Katrina and Doc Hayden had a relationship.

The issue became even louder when Dr. Hayden Kho himself admitted that he and Katrina had a relationship which he referred to as a "short-lived affair". After that Dr. Hayden Kho asked for Dra. Vicky Belo's forgiveness. And Doc Hayden also admitted that he tried to commit suicide because of their break-up and he even wrote the words "I Love You Vicky" on his body before he attempted to end his life.

And just recently Katrina Halili's rumored boyfriend Kris Laurence spoked about this issue. The R&B singer said that he is not affected by Dr. Hayden Kho's revelation that he had a short-live affair with Katrina Halili.  Kris laurence even spoke some words of moral support for Katrina. Here's what he in an interview in 24Oras:

"If I can say anything to Katrina... Ching I'm here for you. As usual, if you need anybody to talk to, a shoulder to lean on, I'm here no matter how long it takes I'll be here waiting for you,"

Wow is'nt that sweet...

The MMFF Parade of Stars

Last Wednesday December 24, after our Christmas party in a restaurant somewhere in Roxas Boulevard, me and my officemates were able to watch the Parade of Stars for the Metro Manila Film Festival.

I was able to see all the Floats of all the Filmfest Entries, I saw Tito, Vic, and Joey and all the cast of Iskul Bukul 20 Years After, Diana Zubiri and Katrina Halili of One Night Only, Rufa Mae Quinto, Iza Calzado for Desperadas 2, I did'nt notice Marian Rivera, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Ogie Alcasid so I thought they were'nt there. The most memorable part of that experience was when I waved my hand at Iza Calzado and she waved at me too, and because of that she is now my Idol. In fairness Iza look so beautiful in person, It was my first time to see her and I got Starstrucked by her presence. I also saw the Cast of Tanging Ina Niyong Lahat headed by Ai Ai Delas Alas, Baler headed by Jericho Rosales, Anne Curtis, and Phillip Salvador, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, Christopher De Leon and the other cast of  Magkaibigan, for Shake Rattle and Roll X all the cast are wearing red, there was Gerald Anderson, Marian Rivera and all other cast which I did'nt recognized because I was too far.

Watching the Parade of Stars was probably the most memorabe experience for me, because it's my first time to watch the Parade and it was my first time too see many celebrities all in one day. I just feel bad I was not able to take pictures of all the stars. But next year I watch again and I'll make sure that I'll be able to take snapshots of the stars.

Karylle Explains Her Side

Karylle has been the talk of the town for the whole week, this was because of  her mysterious smile in the Tough 10 Questions segment at The Buzz.

The incident happened when Boy Abunda asked Karylle if she believes that Marian Rivera is pregnant, Karylle did not answered and just smiled. That smile caused Marian Rivera to get offended and even cried at in the Press Conference of  Desperadas 2.

Well just recently Karylle explained her side to entertainment columnist Ricky Lo. Karylle said that she was in a "no-win" situation, if she did'nt smile, people would think that she was bitter. Karylle added that in that moment, she was trying to figure out the answer but Boy Abunda said "thank you" and ended the interview.

Actually, I agree with Karylle, she was not trying to be controversial, and I believe that if she answered that question, Marian Rivera will do more than just crying. Karylle did the right thing Marian was just over reacting about the incident. Karylle is intelligent and would not do anything stupid to hurt people.

Marian Rivera Cried About Pregnancy Issue

Marian Rivera cried at the press conference of her Metro Manila Film Festival Entry Desperadas 2. This was due to the rumors that she is pregnant and Dingdong Dantes is the father.

The issue started at ABS-CBN's Sunday talkshow The Buzz in Boy Abunda's interview with Karylle, Boy Abunda asked Karylle if she believes that Marian is pregnant with her ex-boyfriend Dingdong Dantes, Karylle did not answer but instead she replied with just a smile and that caused Marian to get offended.

In the said press conference Marian Rivera Cried on actor Will Devaughn's shoulder who was beside her.
Now there are mixed reactions regarding the issue, some said that Karylle is just trying to be controversial because of her actions, and some said that Marian is just making the issue worst, she should'nt have reacted to the issues like that after all that's showbiz.

JC Tiuseco is the First Pinoy Sole Survivor

JC Tiuseco is Survivor Philippines' First Pinoy Sole Survivor. He lasted 39 days in the Koh Tarutao Island and earned majority of the Tribal Jury's vote and the vote of the "Tribong Pinoy" via text messages, JC got 93% of the text votes while the other castaway Rob Sy only got 7% of that text votes.

JC won P3 Million Tax free plus a brand new car which he chose over immunity after winning the challenge. The result was announced live last Friday, and I'm sure all the Survivor Philippines Fanatics stayed up late just to see the result.

The leakage that spreaded inside the GMA canteen that JC won was true. And just last Sunday night all 18 Castaways had a Reunion, they revealed all the intrigues, confrontations, alliance, strategies, and even the romance that went between them. And we found out the special friendship that's going on between Rob and Vern.

I'm gonna miss Survivor Philippines, I hope there will be a Season 2.

Angle Locsin is now a Certified Actress

After Angel Locsin won the award for the Best Single Performance By An Actress in the recently held 22nd Star Awards For Television, she can now be considered as a certified actress.

When Angel Locsin left the Kapuso Station and went to the Kapamilya Station, many have thought that she will loose her shine as the most popular star of her generations, some called her "Ingratitude", I even heard a joke thrown against her saying that ABS-CBN added P3.00 to her talent fee that caused her to transfer. But guess what she proved them wrong.

Her performance in the Maalaala Mo Kaya entitled "Pilat" which was her first project as a Kapamilya Star earned her the award, that means the press people appreciated her acting efforts,

I think this is the opportunity that Angel was looking for, when she was in GMA she used to do action series and Fantaseryes such as Mulawin, Darna, Majika, and Asian Treasures, all those shows earned her fame and put her to where she is right now and I'm sure Angel never forgets that and I'm also sure that she will forever be grateful for GMA, she just want to grow as an actress and now she got what she deserves and you have to give credits to ABS-CBN for giving her the opportunities.
